White House Criticism Has ‘Of Course No Effect,’ Greta Thunberg Says

After days of urging global leaders to treat climate change with greater urgency, Ms. Thunberg ended her week in Davos, Switzerland, in much the same way she began her activism two years ago: joining her peers for a protest.

Reporter: “Greta, I wondered how it felt to be publicly insulted by the American president and the U.S. Treasury Secretary? What effect does that have on you?” “Of course, no effect. [laughter] We are being criticized like that all the time, and of course if we would care about that then we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.” Crowd: “This is what democracy looks like. Climate justice — when do we want it? Now! What do we want? Climate justice!”
